For the next sample image, I wanted to see how this tool performs with different image styles. In this case, I requested it to:

Once again, the image quality and clarity it produced were impressive. It also stayed relatively true to the Disney Pixar style aesthetic, presenting a visually appealing image.
However, Pixlr fell short by failing to clearly depict the fox looking for fish to eat.
If I had to rate this image, I’d say a 7.5/10 would be a fair assessment.
For the final test, I wanted to try out something a little more advanced and cinematic. So, this was the prompt I gave Pixlr to follow:

This time, Pixlr faltered a little with the image. I must admit the scene still looks detailed, and the lighting is equally good with the sunset gradient.
However, the tool failed to follow my prompt perfectly since it didn't get the perspectives I wanted right. If anything, this interpretation made the scene composition fall rather flat.
I expected a more emotional impact from such a dramatic visual, but instead, it produced a less cinematic result than I would have liked.
It also focused too much on the subject and neglected other aspects like the background characters, leaving such crucial details to be nothing more than blurs.
For comparison, I used the same prompt to generate with Flux Kontext Pro and GPT-4o, and the result is much more better:
Because of this, personally, I would give Pixlr a 4.5/10 on this test.
What Is My General Opinion of Pixlr’s AI Image Generator?
All in all, Pixlr’s AI image generator's UI was my favorite aspect. Its simplicity and speed make it ideal for quick image turnarounds.
I was able to navigate through its various image generation tools and settings without having to deal with any steep learning curve.
From inputting prompts to customizing various image settings, it does well to strike a good balance between user-friendliness and functionality.
In terms of image quality, it excels at producing extremely vivid and detailed scenes with an uncanny sense of realism to them, especially when it comes to rendering actual people.
However, I find that it still needs a little work in following detailed prompts that come with complex elements and require a more professional touch, like cinematic stills.
